Ok shoudl i keep my 440 kit in there... im getting alot of people saying how its bad and real unrealiable... and how they blow easy... should i make it a 400 again?? or just keep it and stuff? If i was to put it to a 400 again do i just buy the stock sleeve, piston and what else?

there reliable if there built right.

ive had mine for about a year and blew 2 gaskets but that was it. put in studs after about 3 months after the 2nd one blew and its been mint since. no problems at all.

I have to change my head gasket in my 440 and i think a strud its broke but i dunno.. i need to go buy gt thunder ones and put then in... well its the struds in the motor of the ones that hold the head down? Because a bolt on the head where you tighten the head down is messed up i think..

the studs that hold the head to the jug are the bad ones. get them from gt thunder and make sure they or a machine shop puts them in correct. youll never blow a gasket again.

My 440 has been togeather since 2002 without HD head studs.NO problems other than the starter clutch.mods are in sig.

yea but my bike has 13:1 compression and it beats the hell out of the gaskets without hd or gt studs

Like Ruby Soho said they can be reliable if done correctly. The high compression you're running, if that's what's really in there, is probably has the most effect on the reliability. Lowering hte compression would help but i'd still make sure the head studs have been upgraded.

It's a JE 13:1 high performance piston
