400ex head on a 300ex

does anyone know if a 400ex head will work on a 300ex. if not does anyone know whish head works best on a 300ex.250x,300ex,350x,400ex ?????????




also what will happen if you destroke a 400ex and put a 300ex cylinder and head on the 400ex bottem end.

our local youth class allows 350cc with 4-strokes

250X and 300EX should be interchangable. 400EX is way different, and no nothing is going to interchange.

like stated above the 250x and 300ex are the only ones that will interchange, now you can get into some neat things with different cylinders and heads on 350X bottom ends but thats another story.

Yeah like they said ^^^ the 250X and 300EX head are one and the same. Also the ATC350X head will work, you will just need to mod the head pipe. But I don't think the cylinder would work. I have both engines, and to picture them, the 350 looks much taller.

Find the member 2muchquad. He has personally put a 350X head on a 300EX. I think I remember him saying to use a cam chain from a 3rd engine, as you are using the 350X cam and 300EX bottom end.

Also you can get a 350cc big bore from CWR. No stroke needed. With that and a good cam and port job you'll be in business! :devil:
