Hey fellas, I've been wondering why 90 tranny gears are prefered over 50 gears. I don't get why 11 to 1 or 9 to 1 makes any difference as long as you can change the sprockets. If there were such a thing as a 1 to 1 tranny couldn't you just adjust the sprocket to get the ratio you want? Wouldn't the variator shifting give you the low end needed? HMMMMMM.

the o6 DRR 50 gears were different . Gears on the DRR 07 50 and 90 use the same gears now. You dont want to put to much load on the clutches and variater it would be taking them out. Look for something new to come out

assuming you can't put a smaller front chain sprocket on than say a 16 tooth, to make up the difference even for a 9:1 gearbox would require a rear sprocket of about 300 teeth, which ends up being about 5 foot in diameter. HMMMM...
