question about stock 450r front shocks

hey i recently got a pair of 05 450r stock front shocks 4 mt 400ex, i just want to no out of the factory 450r with the front shocks were the 2 big nuts r is there thread exposed at the top, coz the 1's i have look adjusted i just wanna no if there is thread exposed at the top

you seem to be talking about the pre load threads. Yes from the factory there are threads exposed. How many? I couldnt tell you.

thanks, from the looks of it he as wound them all the way off so im gona stiffen them up soon,,,,,,,,,, and whats the best way to put the comprssion settings thoses to screws at the top and bottom back to standard

leave the pre load off,,especially on a 400ex, it will keep the quad lower and a smoother ride.
