Have you tried putting a little bar or something on the allen wrench to get some more torque on it? If you've stripped the top, get the vice grips out and try again... it it's totally messed drill it out and tap it, or heli coil it.

if the head is stripped try to use easy outs first. did u loosen the bolts in an even pattern or there will be pressure on one and not on the other ones causing it to bind and wont turn. if all else fails drill it tap it and heli coil it.

yea ^^^^ a little heat might help, not alot, like solidering torch would be enough, I use allen sockets with ratchet, can put more power than regular allen wrench

I would only use heat as a last resort. If the head isnt stripped, I would use an impact wrench on a low setting if you have access to one.

Sometimes when i strip out a phillips head or allen head i take a saw and cut a line straight across and make it into a flat head. Just an idea

on striped Allen heads i use torq bits you get the one that is a little bigger than the striped one and hammer it in and loosen bolt

Get "sock-outs" they will go into the stripped allen head and let you use a wrench. Cheap and you can get them at the auto parts store.

find a friend that is really good at welding, then have them weld a nut to the top of the bolt. If they look at you funny don't let them do it, its a well known trick on the in.

ive had this happen before and i think i actually took the closed side of an 11mm? that or 12mm and pounded it onto the outside of the bolt. that holds pretty well.. enough to get it out.

very simple fix i had the same problem a bout 3weeks ago.and remember the pinch bolts only need to be torqued at 15ftlbs.................This is what you do, now that both sides are ground down flat you can use vise grips with out them slipping or you could grind the bolts down to fit an open end wrench.

What I did in the past was to clamp the swing arm with a big pair of vice grips to relieve ALL the pressure off of the bolt. Then I took a hammer and chisel and got after it a little bit until I broke it loose. Then I simply removed it the rest of the way with pliers.
