Without tearing into the engine, it looks like you're pretty much done. The rest of the power is internal.

If I were you, I'd start looking into suspension. You'll need to save up a bit more, but (in my opinion) suspension mods are way more fun than engine mods. They open up a whole new world of possibilities, much more than engine mods.

Only other option really is a Rev Box w/ a spark timing advance.

Start saving up and looking into some suspension upgrades. ;)

buy a 400ex carburetor and take the choke out of it. i have one, works great. i haven't taken my choke out yet, though. i should be this weekend.

i agree with stepping up to a 400ex, or even better a 450r

i have a rev box it set to 11,000 im not sure but im think it does advance my spark.... i like the carb idea how much time did u have to spend tuning? and does it plop right in or do i need to modify alot? i dont mind a little modification just not so much that i cant returnt to my old carb if i have problems... and i dream of a ♥450R♥ id kill for a quad like that

i think you may have to get new boots for the carb but no matter what you will have to tune the carb

the 400ex carb should go right in. the filter to carb boot is the only one that's a problem. you have to hold it on there while you tighten the clamp otherwise it'll pop out

tuning wise, i'm not sure what YOU'd have to do. mine came on it (sort of... the kid had the boots connected to it with electrical tape:rolleyes: ) but i also tuned it myself. the kid told me it had some engine mods but i really don't know what kind. i'm running a 170 main, 42 pilot, and 4 notch down on the needle.

jetting a 4-stroke really is not hard, though. if anything, you'll most likely come across a 400 carb with all stock jets in it, and you can just go from there. it should run with those in but probably not very well. someone with a little jetting knowledge could help you tune it in no time.

Go with the 400ex carb and go up 2 main jet sizes and pilot up 1 size. The boot going to the airbox is tricky to get on but you can. I ended up getting a pod filter because i was always taking the carb on and off.

you can find a used 400ex carb for about $50-60
