How do I adjust the rebound on a stock 400ex rear shock so it will stop the rear end from going side to side over whoops? Would I need to make it harder or softer? how?

I believe there is a little screw on the shock that you turn to adjust. Don't hold me to it though.

there are 2 screws and the jamnut/spring tension nut.

the bottom screw is rebound i believe, and the top screw is compression

You need to speed up the rebound, but you also need to make sure your compression is not set too soft which could also cause the side to side swapping. Its the adjuster screw on the bottom of the shock, I just dont know which way to turn it on an EX.

On my axis shocks I had to slow rebound alot to keep it from kicking back and forth.
