Round 9 kicks off at ocean front at Oceano Dunes ,Pismo California.
Oceano is well known for other recreational activities as well such as swimming, surfing, surf fishing, camping, and hiking.
Aside of prevailing winds all weekend, riders were off enjoying some riding in the open sections of the dunes since there would be no MX practice on Friday.

The race line up would run quite abit differently this round than in the past as there would be no unclassified Youth ,also bumping up riders an hour earlier on Sat.
With the sunrise coming up a tad later , I wondered for a moment if the youth might be starting the race in the dark! :p

Sat. racing kicks off with the Shifter Open class.
#961 Ze'vyer Mott gets out front in lap 1 ,#18y Parker Taylor in 2nd.

ExtrememiniquadsNW rider Parker Taylor would exchange passes with Mott about every 4 laps threw the entire race!
On the final lap, Taylor would be the one who would take the #1 in the Shifter Open class, followed by Mott in 2nd .

#10y Kelsey Lugan would have a little misfortune this race . Kelsey moves up to 3rd in lap 3, but takes a hard fall which set her back to a 4th place in the Shifter Open.

71-90 mod class,Bennett racing rider #14y Austin Bennett not only held the fastest lap time in lap 5, but also led 12 of the 13 laps to the #1 slot on the podium.

#1078 Riley Clem moves up at an amazing pace moving up from 10th place in lap 1 to 4th place in lap 4!
Clem would move into the final slot on the podium in lap 11 to a 3rd place finish in 71-90 mod class.

#345y Tyler Wentz held a solid 1st place all 13 laps, but on the final lap fell back to the #2 slot in 71-90 stock.
Wentz also held the fastest lap time in lap 5.

In the 12-15 mod. 240cc class,#157 Joseph Sheble moves up from 3rd position in lap 3 to taking home the win .
Sheble also held the fastest lap time in lap 3.

#177 Cole Fite leads in laps 1 and 2, but would finish the race with just a 7 second gap for the #2 on the podium .

In the stock 4-6 year 50cc stock class,Kohl Feuerhahn leads the race all the way to the #1 slot.

Following the leader, #8y Brandon Lugan held 2nd place ,but misfortune would cause him to fall back one position as his pipe completly broke off and lost power in the last three laps.

Lugan still finished the race, but would have to settle for a respectable 3rd on the podium in the Sport 8-15 class.

Beach racing was quite an experience I must say!
I think we can pretty much say that this year,we have literally raced just about every type of terrain at some point threwout the year .
This course was very windy,brutal,whooped out,horsepower robbing and grueling by the end of the wk. ends racing.
These youth riders done a find job this weekend racing .
Im sure we will see some of these kids as Factory riders some day . :)

That about wraps up most of the Youth classes for Round 9.
the final round will be held in Taft, California Nov. 9-11th.
Watch for the Amatuer race Coverage ,along with the Pro main recap and highlights as well as Interviews and Pro vidoe Coverage.
