project lt-230 (needs some TLC)

ok, first off im in western PA, so if you want it ya gotta come get it

ok heres what i got lying around

1986 lt230s,
it will run but has not been started in a long time,
to run it needs a chain side case, and a carb,

it has a good bit of surface rust but will clean up with some time, i have spent alot of time cleaning up on it, but its still not perfect yet.

it needs new brake pads, and front wheel bearings
it has a stright pipe on in place of the muffler,
the seat is pretty much shot, the foam is good but cover is trashed,
it needs fenders up front i have my old 300ex racecuts but they dont line up worth crap, and tere are no rears

the front bumper has a plow bracket welded to it,

other than that it is good, the frame is perfect, electrical is good, it has spark, i just adjusted the valves,

there is no head light


the quad is not trashed but it needs some stuff, im just letting you know whati t needs upfront, so theres no questions about it,

i dont know where you are located, but to be broad, im in the south western corner of pa, not far from west virginia, i can be more accurate if you would like, im just trying to give ya an idea

i have a 05 400ex but i would like something to fix up...i looked on ebay and its 400-500 bucks for all the parts...

i dont want to offer to low and you get mad, or offer to high. but right now i could prob. buy it for 200 cash.

to get it running it needs a side case, carb, and thats it...why does it need a new case

yes, it should only need a side case and a new carb,

and actuall i have talked to some people on here and found a side case for like 35 bucks and a carb for like 35,

it needs a new side case cuse the chain popped off and smashed a whole in it, i will give you the old one, but there it is non repairable,


like i said, i also bought it as a project, but i cant afford another one at the moment, and i figured someone else would enjoy it,

i dont know what other parts i have, i have a front bumper with a plow mount welded to it, and a bolt on hitch reviever


i could do 225 will that work for you?

to be 100% it needs
brake pads
a few new cables (decompression and maybe throttle)
plastics,
seat cover,
air filter
front wheel bearings,
rear ties have a slow leak, (could probably be solved with fix a flat)


i think thats it, there are some people selling the parts on here pretty cheap, i could send you there names if your interested

i can give you the 300 front but there in rough shape, and do no line up at all, and i could give you a 300ex stock muffler, but the mounting bracket needs moved forward

no, i have never had it running, :(

it was like that when i got it, i would like to get it running so i could ride it, but i cant afford it cuse im doing a rebuild on my quad currectly.

and no i dont have any rear fenders for this bike
