Last night I rolled my my 400 and bent my stem, I dont want another stocker but I dont want to spend 3 bills or whatever either,any recomandations(sp)?Thanks, Mat

Well my friend has a houser +2 and they hold nicely. He flipped his 400ex so many times and the stem never bent.

Thanks for the reply,I was considering a Houser stem.Do you know how much they go for?And I was also wondering If I do go w/ a +2 will all my stock lines,cables ect. be long enough?

on www.magicracing.com you can get a houser + 2 for $200. That is a good price for them. Yeah i think all your stock cables will fit.

I rebuilt my stock one after flipping the quad. Just cut out the bent part and tig welded new tubing in, went +2. The cables worked but the clutch cable was a little short and broke after a while. I replaced it with a 300ex cable, longer but had to modify the bracket down on the case for it to work. I'm sure that my rebuilt stock stem isn't as strong as an aftermarket one but it was alot cheaper!

Thanks man! If anybody out there can help me what do I need to order to change my current setup (stock stem,universal 1 1/8" adapter with fatbars to a Houser +2 stem with my same bars.I want to gain some bar height and replace my twisted stem.Do I need to buy their Bar mounts as well? Thanks, Mat

GOTTA BUY THE BAR MOUNTS ALSO, I HAVE A HOUSER +1 STEM W LONESTAR CLAMP. LONESTAR CLAMP WAS $10 BUCKS CHEAPER FROM ROCKY MOUNTAIN

i'm 6 foot right now and growing, i will be around 6'3". my question is, would it be fine to get a +1 stem or will +2 be better? Also with aftermarket handle bars such as pro taper or fasst co flexx i'm not sure if some are stock handle bar height or higher. I have een lower and I do not like it. I stand a lot going through trails and sometimes it really feels like i'm standing over the gas tank
