I have developed a leak in my right rear tire. Takes about a month to go flat, I haven't started looking for the leak. I took it off and rolled it inside. Sounds like marbles or rocks in it. Does the factory put anything in the tires to help balance them???
Thanks Dave
those are little tiny pebbles in there that made it past the bead...
mine have that sound like marbles rolling around too. I thought it was deied up tire slime that was formed into balls lol idk

ya i had that same problem until i got them taken off and all it was was just rubber balls that form from the extra rubber in the tire.

Ok that makes since to me. I guess all air it up and check for leaks. Then attempt the bead breaking trick and remove the rocks.
Thanks for the replys guys

i was wandering the same thing. my buddy's 400ex stock tires make the same sound but mine never did.
Well if you think about it if its only going flat once a month what does it matter? Just air it up every time you ride and then eventually get new ones.

there little rubber balls that are supposed to plug the hole if you get a flat... I think?

no its not "peebles" it is little round rubber balls that keep the rime from eroding .

Rubber balls?????? Its dirt that got past the bead over time and with moisture. when you ride it eventually builds up into balls of dirt.

They are not pebbles it is rubber from the inside of the tire that has balled up. I have taken down a couple pairs of original stock tires and thats what it was. Also if it is the original tires good luck getting it off the bead i think honda glues the bead on or something sometimes you have to cut the tire off.

our stock tires have all had the same thing and i saw what was doing it. it was actually little rubber beads like others are saying. i asked why those were in there and i was told it has something to do with producing the tire and the molds.
