Did anyone or is anyone having trouble waking up in the morning for like school and stuff, im having this problem ive pretty much tried everything i can think of. And it gets me fustrated because i try so hard and then being tardy or missing school ruins it all. If anyone has any advice that has helped them please let me know.

had the same problem.... do you usually have a set time you go to sleep at? if you do try going to bed an hour and a half earlier. if you go to sleep at a certain time your body gets used to it. so if you throw in an extra hour or so into your sleep, it makes you wake up earlier. i also adjusted all my clocks in my room 30 minutes in advance, so when i woke up im in a mind set of 30 minutes ahead of what time it really is. another thing is i set my alarm clock to radio instead of buzzer and turn it up pleanty loud enough for me to have to get up and turn it down some. dont place your alarm clock at arms reach from your bed...... you will be likely to turn it off and fall back asleep. hope this helps.

My mom used to spray a little cold water on my face to get me up when I was a kid. There is not a worse feeling in the world than water to the face at 7 in the morning:scary: But it did the trick.

ill set 2 alarms on my alarm clock. One @ 7 in the morning and one @ 7:20 so that I have plenty of time to get up.

I set two alarms on my phone that play music, something hard, usually for me its "fall into sleep" by mudvayne, I know its fitting isn't it? I get up at 6AM so I set an alarm for 5:30 and one for 6. I also do stuff like throw my phone under my bed, or under my computer desk, and I change it every day, so when I wake up I freak out cause I cant remember where I put it and Im trying to shut it off quickly... works like a charm... seems a bit ridiculous, but at least I get to work at a reasonable hour.

Try this...either option...

1) Get a light that is designed to slowly come on. It simulates the sun coming up in the morning.

2) Get a timer that will just click a bedside lamp on.

Basically, your brain and eyes will still function when you are sleeping. They will recognize the light and start bringing you out of the deep sleep. By the time you alarm goes off, you should be awake.

Try putting your alarm on the other side of the room and turn it up really loud. Then you will have to get out of bed to shut it off. Worked for me back in high school.

I have to wake up at 5:30am during the week and its tough. I built a loft that I sleep in, and I have to climb down to the floor to shut my alarm, then I usually walk straight to the shower, and thats does a pretty good job of waking me up.

Get a loud alarm clock and put it on the opposite side of your room where you sleep. You have to get up to shut up.

I have one alarm set at 1 am, so it wakes me up and i know that I have to wake up again in a few hours. So it tells me to "power sleep" lol. Then I have on at 6am.

The walking across the room thing doesn't work for me. It just makes me want to go back to sleep even more hah.

Thats sweet I would love to do that so I could put a desk under it too. Only thing is I would probably fall out of it :p

Yeah it sucks when that happens, I did that a year or so ago, and My loft was setup a different way and I fell on my desk, and I got the corner of it to the stomach, lol

My advice. If you are waking up tired there's a couple things you can do.

The most obvious. Go to bed earlier. ;)
The less obvious, eat dinner earlier. (3-4 hours before bed.)

If your body isn't wearing itself out digesting food you'll get better rest.

I get up at 4:30am everyday. The hardest part was training yourself to go to bed before 9pm. I've always been a night owl.

My buddy works for 911 dispatch. His hours are all over the place. That has to be rough.
