It's not a 2 stroke, shut up. Sometimes using the upper rpm's is more comfortable for riders than lugging the lowers of a higher gear.

Track looks sweet definitely need to make it out that way and ride it.

that's the whole point *** bag, you just said it. IT'S NOT A 2 STROKE! 4t's don't make nearly as much power up top as the do down low.

as for me not knowing about? umm I used to race 125b and moved up to A for a few races on 4 strokes and 2 strokes. I think I know how to ride a bike.

Please, go look at a torque curve of a 4 stroke then get back to me.

Have you ever rode a whoops section like that? He did them perfect. Clicking up a gear is just not practical for that section.

sorry dude, but if you've ridden a 250f, you know they like the high rpms.

they do like high rpms, but I've had other riders blow by me at a lower rpm. Ofcourse I don't know what was done to they bike, but I've found they like mid range the best. Can't argue with that. Oh don't get me wrong he did them awesome, but probably could've picked up a little more time in the next gear.

I don't really remember what happend, I do know I didn't flip, I colapsed into the handle bars and thats all I really remember. And what sucks the most is that nobody got it on video.

yeah, i didn't get to do it that day cause of my leg hurting really bad, any jump i hit, when i landed a shock of pain went to my shin in one spot (not shin splints, gettin it checked out on the 30th). And one time, i was like f4ck it, i'm goin for it lol, and then when i got close to it, i was like this is gonna hurt, and backed off, and so i overcleared the table part, and when i landed i was like f8ck as soon as i saw my landing lol, and then the pain came!

Yea man Mad props for doing that on a quad. I used to race quads way back when, but no way in hell would you catch me doing that on a quad. haha

o the guy i saw fell off but his quad did about 5 front flips.

i can do the triple in practice but never do it in a race. i talked to chad about it so i think ill try during the race on sunday.

i'd go for it, if you can do it in the practice session and stay smooth, then i'd def. do it during the race. That's gonna allow you to pass alot of people, cause alot of A riders don't even do it during the races

do you hit it 3rd or 4th pinned, cause i know you can stay on the throttle in 3rd over the hump, and just punch it in 3rd and clear it, but i come over the burm in 3rd, when i land i click 4th, and just punch it.

i go over the hump in 3rd and click into forth while im in the air. ive got a stock motor w/ a stock, uncorked exhaust but i think im going to try anyway, as long as i get it in practice.

thats why a yfz revs over 10,000 rpms and makes max power in like the 9000 range while in the 2000 it prolly has 30 less horsepower coming out of it ..., thats why street bikes rev to 16,000 rpms im sure they make 100 hp at 1500 rpms but only like 55 at 15,0000 ... obviously 4 strokes do better down low than 2 strokes but they still make more power on high revs

My friend, peak hp doesn't do much for an mxer, it's all in the torque which is not made at top rpm.

Btw, peak hp is made around 8000 according to this dyno found on this site. A whole 1000 than your estimated guess.

http://www.exriders.com/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=111034

also according to the dyno, peak torque is made within the same area of the rev range. Please get your facts right before posting obsured posts such as the one above.

Yes street bikes will rev that high, but they are much different than a single cylinder 4 stroke quad engine. You almost can't even compare them.
