Hey guys. I just picked up my 1st 250R friday night. Its an 86 with some motor work done to it. The guy i got it from said its a 300, but have yet to tear into it. I was wondering if there was any way you can tell the differnce between a Prox and a stocker on the outside of the jug? Or is there a difference at all? This bike has an LRD pipe and LRD engraved on the jug. TIA for any info!

the stock jugs look competely different and they say 246cc (I think) if it is a 300 resleve LRD welds in little triangular braces by the reed area. This brace should have a # and if you call LRD they should be able to tell you the type by port work that was done if any
