if not, what type does it need?

100% rite i go thru batteries like one a year so i kno the code by heart is this a common prob? im doin sumin wrong? ive them on ebay for $30 for with shipping and a 1 warrenty
the stock battery in my 300ex lasted 6 years...the one off of ebay was still going strong when i sold the bike 2 years later...

Just need to buy a $20 battery tender (trickle float charger) and keep it hooked up to the quad if you are going to store it for more than 2 weeks w/o riding it.
It uses very little electricity, just keeps the battery charged up. They will naturally drain as time passes.
You can even buy them at WalMart.
i never had one of those on my 300ex, but have one on each bike now...

yea i think thats the problem i dont ride for long periods of time especially when school starts i go to college kinda far from home and dont ride it much and it jus sits yea ive heard bout those ill have to get one thnks for the advice and their like 50 or 60 at walmart idunno y their alot there??? neways thnks will do
