long travel shock ques

can 17.5 pep l.t. front shocks fit on plus 3 a arms that have 19.5 elkas. i see alot of plus 2's w/ 17.5 's . any thoughts?

I wouldn't do it. That's not even close to the same length. Stick to the shock length the arm manufacturer recommends.

You could probably get the bolts through, but it wouldn't perform properly at all.

The valving and spring rates would be completely wrong, and you couldn't just dial-up the compression adjustment and fix it.

The reason those shocks are 19.5 inches is because they mount in a different location, and thus have a completely different motion ratio. The forces acting on the shocks are all different.

they are not long travel and they are for +2 arms. stock travel comp adj only and there my friends....i was jus checking ...going w/ axis 19" 4 me ..his stuff soon to go on ebay... will ask him 4 ya... also laeger +2+1 arms

nope... im just researching.... he offered me 600 for pep stk travel comp adujst only w/ bottles and lagaer +2+1 arms W hiems and rods w/ ends. needs powder c and upper hiems, ill ask him
