holy crap! that's sweet! i've seen a Z overshoot a 25' double and jump about 50' too long. he did a huge tailwhip down it. it was so cool! i bet he didn't bottome out on any of those jumps. i wish i had a jump like that! oh course they'd be a lot closer! it almost looks like he bottomed it in the last pic.

yeah it was close when he first started jumping it and we just kept moving it back and back, i've got a clip of him jumping it, i might put it up in the videos section sometime

i'm not sure how much it costed but i know he got overcharged cause he did it in shop class and got charged $1 a foot for the metal, we'll be making more but we never thought about selling it but we would get a lot of money out of it

muff
11-04-2002, 01:57 PM
i think its 52" wide but i'm not sure, anywhere from 48" to 54"

11-04-2002, 02:18 PM
thats some nice air, i dont have hte balls to do something like that on stock shocks

tants
11-04-2002, 02:24 PM

Live2Ride300
11-04-2002, 02:30 PM
Sweet air, thats an awesome jump.
Ya man, it looks like you could easily be a little off to the left or the right, id be scared, id make a little wider.

YLW400
11-04-2002, 02:31 PM
Then some extra money on after market shocks!!:blah Those probably wont last too long doing that

beerock
11-04-2002, 02:32 PM
WIDER!

Wired
11-04-2002, 02:43 PM
wow thats skinny for a quad. lookin good otherwise :macho

muff
11-04-2002, 03:38 PM
yeah it is pretty narrow but we're use to jumping off narrow jumps, i've got a wooden jump here at my house and it's a tad bit under 48", yeah he probably could have made it wider but we'll do that on the next one we might build, plus the land before is flat enough so it wouldnt really be a problem unless 50 people on dirtbikes ride on it after it rains

11-04-2002, 04:05 PM
looks like a blast...
I think i would get some more dirt and make the lander a lil
longer & wider...before i did anything else..

DEAL
11-04-2002, 04:29 PM
Man! thats nice!
Hes on stock suspention amd axle!?

QuadTrix6
11-04-2002, 04:42 PM
thats some nice air...but the ramp is very narrow i notice the tire marksare right at the edge  ...did you build the kicker yourself? and how is jumping a kicker compared to a dirt jump ?

Twiztid
11-04-2002, 04:44 PM
thats sweet i would love to have a jump like that in my yard, by the way thats some nice air!

D-4our
11-04-2002, 04:51 PM
did he use angle iron or square tubing to make it?

muff
11-04-2002, 05:14 PM
ok lets see if i can get all of these questions answered, he used angle iron, we built it ourselves

he's got a stock axle and suspension
the landing was actually perfect and it really doesnt need to be wider cause the straightaway before it is fairly straight

i like jumping wooden/metal jumps, 1. you dont have to worry about messing up the lip, 2. its easy to move around and make the gap bigger, some other stuff to
as for hitting it its awesome cause when you're on it you get plenty of traction and you can pin it when your on it and launch up like the bikes on x-games

Sweet jump! I would be nervous, it's needs to be a little wider....;)

muff
11-04-2002, 06:29 PM

Juggalo
11-04-2002, 06:35 PM
i should get some pics of my buds jumpin my kicker on their stock ex's and banshees. lol anyways nice ramp. it does like kinda skinny (ours is 5 feet wide and still seems skinny). glad you found out how great ramps are to have.

Juggalo
11-04-2002, 06:38 PM
btw- you'll land a lot smoother if you get rid of that saftey deck on the landing and make it steeper.

11-04-2002, 06:43 PM
I was thinking of converting a trailer i have ....to a mobil ramp
then we could put it any where we like ...like the one from
a freestyle contest i saw here ..

that would seem like a good idea but were gonna be moving the jump around if we feel like going bigger and we're prolly gonna put a dirtbike jump next to it to so it'd prolly be better if we left it there

that would be so awesome if you could make a mobil ramp, the only things i think you'd have problems with would be having the very bottom tip of the jump able to flip down, and how to keep the ramp from moving while you're jumping it, good luck if you do make it, I'd like to see some pics
