The jetting is slightly different. I believe that the needle for the 06 works in both carbs, but the needle in the 07 kit works only in the 07 (at least from what I have heard?). Otherwise it is the same thing.

My '07 kit came with both needles. One for an '06 and one for an '07.

15 mx race hours maybe but I wouldn't think for the average trail rider

Make sure that you get the kit that says its for 06-07. The only thing different from 06 to 07 is there is an extra needle in the 07 kit with a little ball on top. It is the only one that will work for the 07. I went through hell trying to find that needle because i bought an 06 kit for my 07 thinking that they were the same.

I got the 06 kit in my 07. It has the 06 HRC needle in it. Been running it for over 2 moths with no issues. I think you can use the 06 needle in the 07, but not the 07 needle in the 06 as someone stated in a earlier post.

Thats interesting...where did he get that info from...honda or someone else and did they say why a HRC kit can cause a problem with piston

With that said i have just had a problem (saturday) with an 07 trx450 with 16hrs use
Guess what cracked piston and are trying to find out why this has happened. I have HRC cam with porting, but race mx

That is Honda just being Honda (conservative); I have between 30 and 50 hrs with my bike. It is HRC kitted and still has the stock pison, still runs good too.
