What are some of the things I should do first to get the LTR ready to race? Are the stock tires good enough for the first couple of races? How strong will the motor be with an air filter, cherry bomb, and the baffle removed? Any suspension suggestions? I race intermediate MX

power is good with what you mentioned... tires are fine except the rears tend to slide out and the fronts push a bit. Depends upon how much you weigh but everyone I know have taken most if not all of the preload off the front shocks to soften up the rough ride...if you have an 08 you should be fine

why if he has the 08 he shoudl be fine? they have better shocks?

the new 08 shocks are very plush, the 06-07 are not, he is saying that he wont have to adjust the preload:)
