When do you need to harden your rockers arms?? Would need them for Hotcams? I race MX so would it be a better safe than sorry thing to do?

Harden rockers will destroy your hotcam. The hotcam is built for the stock valve train, minus the decompression mechanism. You need to get hardwelded rockers for some of the larger web cams. I have a stage 3 hotcam in my 416 with stock valves and springs and I havn't had any trouble at all.

That's correct, I run hardend rockers but I also run a web cam. The reason you have to get them hardened is the web cams are made of a different more dense metal than the stock rockers, so if you don't get them hardened your rockers get destroyed over time and vice versa with the hardend rockers and the stock cam or a hot cam. They are made of a metal that matches the stock rockers so if you run hardend one they will destroy the lobes of the cam over time. THe cam and the rockers must match.
