This legendary 2 stroke runs great. Let me give you the history of this bike. A family relative bought this brand new. Rode it through the years in his spare time. He did the first and only top end job on this bike in the late 90's and broke it in, then it sat in a garage because he worked on an offshore drilling rig and didnt have much spare time.
I bought this bike last year, and went ahead replace the clutch plates and springs, with plans to buy the FTZ racing kit to make in run on alky, but now since the second child is here i dont have time or money to work on it.
I cleaned the carb and put a new plug, air filter, and put maybe 3 tanks of gas through it. It runs good, i weigh 230 and i can get it to pull up in 2nd no problem.
Summary of the bike

new piston, rings , gaskets done in late 90's
clutch plate and springs - winter 06
new uni air filter- winter 06
I have also accumulated and extra rear shock and set of front shocks that will be included
What needs to be done
it needs a new silencer-
it bogs a little at wide open throtte- i am pretty sure its the silencer since it is isnt getting the back pressure the motor needs or could be a main jet issue
the seat cover has one tear on the let hand top side which can be seen in pics
Above the case saver is some JB weld, I have not had any leaks on this bike int he year i have owned it
