How much slack should I have in my chain? Right now as the bike sits I can move the chain about 1/2" or 3/4" up and down.

I keep mine at about 1/2" - 1" up and down when i am sitting on it or at least putting some pressure on the suspension. That way im sure it will be fine for hitting jumps, and not too loose to flop around under regular riding. But thats just me.

I keep mine at about 1-2 finger lengths.

the chain should be adjusted with rider weight on it...gncc025 has the correct slack that is from top to bottom

chain slack should be set with no weight on the bike.
