Bought 04 450r

i just purchased a 2004 450r for 3500,it had fresh itp holeshot hd on itp rims full skidplate bumper chrome engine parts.runs real good no smoke all fluids are good. i was just wondering what oil filter/oil to use and what tranny fluid would be the best? Thanks

I use Mobil1 full synthetic 15W50 in the engine side and Golden Spectro gear lube in the trans. You might want to use thinner oil in the engine. I use 15W50 because it is so hot here all the time.

I use Amsoil 10w40 motorcycle oil in both the motor and trans. To me all filters are the same.

i run this polaris full synthetic in the engine side, and for the trans, i would run the honda red bottle stuff.

I run the (Red Bottle) Honda Trans Oil, and Honda's motor oil for my motor. I use the Stainless Steel oil filter, works fine.

what about 5w30

i got penzoil 10w30 for engine and 10w40 for trans thats good right?Im in Jersey and its starting to get colder.
