Hey i wanted to know if any of you guys knew how much it would cost to put a kick start on my yfz. I need to get everything for it because i only have electric start.

its actually pretty cheap, i just put one on mine. its about 80 or 90 bucks for the 'kick shaft kit' and about 50 bucks for a lever on ebay. you dont need the whole kick start kit, that comes with a lever and new heal guards and some other useless crap that is ungodly expensive. u can buy it if you want and be done but it is a lot more expensive.

i bought the kit shaft kit from a place online(sorry cant remember the name) for $85 bucks or so and then a yz250 kick lever on ebay for $50 in great shape and then i installed it myself which was easy.

to install it you need to drain the coolant and the oil and pull the right sidecase off and the clutch assembly off and your right there. go to yfzcentral.com and in the powertrain or maintence forum there is a step by step walkthrough that i followed thats very nicely done.
