I don't know the answer to the last question on my chmeistry homework. Does anyone know the complete ionic equation of Ba(OH)2 and HCl?

if you are just adding them together? you should get this but you need to balance it as i do not have a periodic table near me

Ba(OH)2 + HCL -------BaCL + H20

but like i said you will need to balance it if you havent figured that out i will get back to you later tonight on it good luck

Ba(OH)2 + 2HCL------Ba(Cl )2+ 2H20

this is because you have 2 O wih the Ba(OH)2 so you will have 2 on the other side meaning you need to have 2 in front of the H20 giving you 4 Hydrogen meaning you have to put 2 in front of the HCL leaving you with 2 Chlorine so you put Cl in () with a subscript 2 as shown above im prety sure this is what you are looking for, someone jump in here if im wrong.

Does it matter if they are both aqueous?

i dont think so as long as you write AQ in [] afterwards but im not 100% sure on that google it or wiki it thats how i found the ionic equation examples

what does your book tell you?
