Wow what a difference on the 400EX !!!

This weekend I installed a White Bros. cdi, installed a K&N filter with the lid off, and jetted the carb on my brothers 2000 400ex and wow what a difference it made.

We already had a FMF Titanium 4 muffler and Powerbomb header installed but had stock jetting.

I set it up with a 160 main, 42 pilot, and set the fuel screw to 2-1/2 turns out.

It has great throttle response and seems to rev faster and longer.

I can't wait to see how it runs this thanksgiving. It had plenty of power with just the FMF exhaust.

How is the titanium4? Did you even have to buy a connector pipe? Could you use the stock one?

Oh, does it have a spark arrestor?

When you buy the FMF Titanium 4 muffler you also have to buy the mid-pipe, which connects the muffler to the header. They sell them seperatly because they offer them in stainless steel or titanium. We went with the titanium version.

Yes, we have the spark arrestor screen installed with their cone end cap.

My brother rode it all last week and loved it. Started everytime, didn't have one problem, and had tons of power.

i know this post is old, but i had a 155 main, the plug was black, i put a 150, it was white should i raise the needle clip??

Raise it with the 155. Lower it with the 150, then take a plug reading.
