Yeh I was going to say 175 main 50 pilot. Check compression to see if you ned race fuel.

Elevation is the biggest factor...

Redrooster is in the ballpark for what'd I'd use at sea level.

There's no cookie cutter setup for anything - just tinker with it...hey isn't that why you still have an R!?

Your stock ignition is up to the task until it goes. There are a few aftermarket igntions out there. Are you getting any signs that yours is going bad?

Idk what the signs of going bad are, but i would say no as of now, i dont think ive ever seen it run to full potential since im almost positive i bought it with half the piston missing and a seized top ring. I can't believe it even still ran, it was down to 120psi. So i just wanted to get a head start at getting it tuned right.

IM in iowa so im alittle about sea level, i think about 800 feet but im not positive.

thanks for all the help though

any body wanna give me an idea on what happens when the ign. is going? Im currently missing a gear, so the motor has to come completely apart:( , hopefully ill be able to get some info on the motor, ie what cases it has etc.

Also it seems to be cutting out on me right now, but i think it might have something to do with the fact its 20 degrees out and we tuned it when it was 85. IS this a factor?

IMPREZKID:

What tunable LRD exhaust are you running? (Standard or BIG-BORE)

The difference is the big bore uses a larger diameter silencer.

I have the standard 250 version and just bought a 330 ESR kit and was thinking about changing the pipe.

I've heard that the modified 330's can't run well with the 250cc pipe.

if it's a big bore pipe it will say on the pipe tag. older pipes 330b,newer ones 350. i have been told the standard pipes create alot of extra cylinder temp and don't let a bb flow enough air. i dont know what port you have but my lrd motor at 800ft above sea level, 60-70 deg will use a 52 piolot 195 main DDJ needle 2nd clip from the top and # 7 cut on the slide.with a 39 pwk. my sparks motor needs more fuel that will use a 200 or 205 main 52 piolot needle 2nd from the bottom #6 cut on the slide but it has a 40.5 pwk on it. i also use a ported rad valve and no air box.

I don't actually know the porting, like i said the motor has to come apart to fix the bottom end, so ill take pictures, can people tell from pictures??

Also ill check on the pipe, im running a 178 i believe right now for a main, on a 38mm airstryker.

So took the R out for a ride this weekend in the warm weather, at first it wasn't running hardly at all, turns out the ground for my ignition was loose. Tightened it up, thing was running real hard, rode it for a bit brought it back and parked it, went back about 2 hours later to ride it no compression:mad:
