Just to let yall know, I did search for this and couldnt come up with much so I figured id start a new thread
I got a killer deal and I mean killer deal, on an 05 yfz 450 engine and carb. Now my cases just busted on my 250r engine and I got pissed so I sold the motor as was and picked up this yfz 450 engine. Now how much work am I looking at to make this thing work? Is it worth all the fabrication that I will have to do? I really want to keep the 250r geometry but a 450 engine in that frame would be a blast to ride. I know ill have to fab up some motor mounts, an oil tank mount for the wet sump set up (or so i heard), but is there anything else I really will have to do? I also heard its somewhat difficult to mount the motor to line up the sprockets but im sure ill figure that out also. Any help, info, or pics will be very much appreciated. Thanks!
