I just found very loose bolts on the brand new DRX50 where the exhaust bolts to the engine. It was rattling, so I traced it to there. Oil residue was was all around it I have only run two tanks of gas through it, I'm not sure how long they have been loose.

Could any other problems develop because of this?

Not yet just add some red locktite and tighten every time you ride
should be fine, mine is loose all the time

evry ride you should check those and also the axle nuts and the chain adjuster bolts. Very common for these to loosen after riding.

Check every bolt on it. i have had almost every nut bolt come loose at some point. Pay particular attention to axle, swingarm, rear sprocket bolts, front sprocket nut. Just go through the whole thing!

check the ones that hold the silencer on as well, they are probably loose too!

purchase loctite in the larger size , you will be using as long as you own a two stroke . The vibration will rattle it all loose . sooner or later, with the red loctite we have kept most bolts in place but those exhaust bolts are really sneaky!

ALWAYS GET AT LEAST A 1/2 TURN TO A FULL TURN WITH A SOCKET...BUT NOT ANY MORE
