I'd say your motor either isn't modified too much or it's a little tired if the z still beats it.

bore it, raise compression a little, cam it, pipe it, jet it, and it'll rip the z a new exhaust hole.

I've got a 416 kit with 11:1 compression, ported and polished head, still got the stock cam (just haven't gotten around to getting a new one yet), hmf slip on, UNI filter with no box lid, rejetted stock carb and I can beat my buddy with an 03 z400 all day long. he's got an fmf can and midpipe, K&N filter no box lid, rejetted carb, and 1 tooth smaller front sprocket.

im not too sure on my dad's ltz but i do know that its an 04 and from the stuff that is on it. brings it total value to a lil ova $6k. mine we got for 3200 and its value is about 4300 we got meh dad cheap as heck. for 3200 as well. idk but his ltz sure aint no regular suzuki 400. it 1 heck of a beast. has a lot of speed but mine has lot of accelaration.

i have a 2000 416 and my dad has an 04 z400. im in the same situation. when my dad got his z, it had a big gun evo x full exhaust system and yea, it was quick. quick enough to be about even with me. now my brother and i pulled apart his carb to make sure it was rejetted. low and behold, it had the stock jets. this past weekend we rejetted his z and i put a 450r carb on my ex.. the carb still isnt dialed in perfectly, but it did help quite a bit. however the z just rips now that its jetted correctly. im surprised it ran as well as it did before. we're still just about even..:o

lolz nice.. idk.. but. i know that my dad's ltz is completly stock motor and carb. mine was built up for racin. but ima not sure wat all was done to mine.. i know ima need to get the top end redone here soon. i plan on doin that this up coming spring. so i guess that my dad just got a good lucky deal with this ltz. this ltz louder than wat his 660 raptor was. wat got meh wacked out is how much speed it has. i'll try to get a pic on here of it.

There is no "hack" work here what so ever. The top of the frame had to be flared out so the fuel injection/throttle bodies can come threw. This entire frame setup is stronger than stock and the quad will weigh less in the end than a stock 400ex.

It's a lot farther than the pictures. I'll be posting a thread on it pretty soon. It will be ready to go come spring. There is a lot of work going itno this machine.

bore to 440 J&E 13:1 piston(will require a stronger aftermarket conn. rod a good choice would be a falicon) TC racing moto x cam Tc racing or curtis sparks exhaust Jet your carb or better yet get a 450r or keihin fcr or edelbrock carb .Drop a tooth on the front sprocket. Race fuel only setup

Lolz, i'd rather take it to the shop when it comes to tearin the entire motor and all. that what my dad and i did with our old 200 blaster. and that thing was much faster than wat u would expect from a 200 blaster. the guy that did the work on that usually does the work on any of our other stuff. and he is pretty good.
