If i get the triple rate elka rec's (no-rezzies), how long and hard do you have to ride them before they start to heat up and fade out?
If I am just running 5 or 6 lap mx races with couple hours in between races will i have to worry about them fading out?
Also is it worth the extra money to have all the adjustability?compression?rebound?
I will be running them with +3 arms, so do you suggest i go for the recs and save money to spend on engine mods?or just go all out and get the top of the line elkas?
post pics also...
any help is appreciated, thanx.

personally i would get the rezzys... the shock life will last longer, and bc ur racing mx u want the best possible shocks u can have...

i'd also get the rezzys bc they add the compression adjustment so u can fine tune ur shocks for the differnt mx tracks u go 2...

but the thing is that they are almost double the money.
is it really worth it?

if u run +3 ur going ot need 19inch shocks, with +3 and 16" shocks they will fade pretty fast...

I wouldn`t get +3 A-Arms for standard travel. Just go with +2s and get some Triple Rate, Compression Adjust Elka`s.

no i need +3's cause i am using stock front rims.
maybe i will go +2 arms with wider offset rims.
anyway this is about the shocks not the arms.

I would keep your +3 set up w/ stock rims. If you get +2's and run wider off set wheels you will put a lot of stress on ball joints and spindles. Get the compression adjustable shocks. The piggybacks are better for preventing fading, since the shock oil is closer to the body instead of having a line. Make sure you tell them you run +3's so they are valved correctly. If they are valved correctly you should have no problems.

Yep just give Full Throttle or the Quadshop a Call. They will hook you up on the Shocks and the A-Arms. Plus good Information.
