spark plug gap???

I think the last time I rode the 400 I left the choke on/open. Now it won't start! Plug looks fowled. I need to know the proper gap of the spark plug. Original plug is set at .024 thou. New plug is set at .026/.027

the new plug setting is fine...it is .024-.028

Thanks for the quick reply Speedyquad. Do you think there would be much difference between that low and high range? More efficient burning of the gas?

not really, if you wanted to close it up a little you can, but i have never noticed a difference
