What year is your 400EX? I have a 2005 and had to replace my bars after rolling it side over side down a dune. I located the neutral and back up lights in the front fender under the reverse switch and the key switch in the hood. I can send you pics if you want.

the bracket came with my mayer plastics. you could probably order one or if you want even make one if you have the tooling. all it needs is a bolt hole and a large hole with a step notch for the ignition cylinder to go in.

What size bars are you putting on? You can get clamps with holes for the lights and switch for 7/8 bars. Not sure for 1 1/8. I have a pair of renthals on mine with a billit clamp.

check out Roxspeedfx.com I bought one of there "dash panels" and it works great on my 05, but I just used 7/8" bars. It's the same as the 450 if for some reason you can't find one for the ex.
