polish it, if youve got the time all you need is some mothers aluminum polish and sandpaper theres a thread in another section it comes out like chrome. very nice.

I thought about painting mine with high temperature header paint for cars. They have the paint in either black or aluminum and i'm going with aluminum to try and get that aftermarket look without spending the extra $200 for aftermarket. When you take off the headers do you need to replace the seals?

There is a copper o-ring gasket in each exhaust port. It's prefered to remove and install new ones but you may get by without replacing them.

To remove them you'll most likly need to pry them out with a screw driver.

how much are the o-ring gaskets and where do i buy them?

C&D Racing (http://www.exriders.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=36) of course;)

They should be only a few dollars for both.

what about shipping? they could put them in a 41 cent envelope fo all i care. I just dont want to pay $4 for the o-rings and then $5 for shipping on them. Would home depot or lowes carry them? I know for a few things I bought the bolts at home depot. I needed longer bolts for my nerf bars... went to home depot. The screws stripped on my brake resevoir... bought stronger screws at home depot. lol

Unlike Service Honda, C&D Racing charges actually shipping cost but it'll probably be a more than a $.41 stamp. I don't know the actual cost because I usually buy the little 'nick-nack' stuff along with other orders. And it's been awhile since i've bought anything for the quad:ermm:

Nuts and bolts maybe, but engine parts will be hard to find at a local hardware store.
