just bought a 2004 300ex for the fiance to ride. i like to take it for a spin every now and then from a brake from my 400. what are the performance mods that you guys are doing. exaust, carb, ignition, jets,???? let me know thanks

i would start with exhaust, the stock header is very restrictive,

sparks and hmf make 2 of the best exhausts for the 300

also get a good airfilter and rejet,

i would put on 20'' rear tires,

then you could play with gearing if its not to your liking,

that will get you a noticable gain in the overall performance, then you might want to consider tearing into the engine,,,


if budget allows, look into some suspension also,

Thats good advice. Throw in a 400ex carb too if budget allows.
