450r keeps dieing only can give it 1/4 gas

so i just got my 450r running so i went riding. It ran great for 5 minutes till it got warmed up and then it boged down and died. i got it to start up but then i would only take like less than a 1/4 throttle or it would bog out and die. whats the deal. could how much oil in the engine do this possibly? all help appriciated thanks jake.

bingo.

This has happened to me twice before, clean your carb.

And don't just drop the float bowel and clean the main/pilot and call it good.
Both times when I had this problem I had to totally tear the entire carb down and clean the upper parts and the slide area.

Even tho I clean my filter after almost every ride it still gets in there somehow.
