Ok I lost a rod bearing this part weekend so I am putting a 265 powervalve on along with redoing the entire engine. My question is what crank? I have heard so many horror stories about Hot Rods. The crank that was in my motor was a Hot Rod crank but I did not install it and dont truely know how many hours are on it. My options are:
OEM-397.99 plus bearings
Wiseco-260+90 for connecting rod and then bearings
Hot rods-220 complete.
I have not been able to look on service honda yet for a crank because my Mac computer wont load the page for some reason. Any help here also would be great lol.

Call up 1 Dir Racing, they make some really nice cranks and rods inhouse. The rods are really beefy and I think that they even give a limited lifetime warranty on then too.

guggi102,
My mac does the same thing on service honda's site, click on the top or bottom of the box where it says"** Looking for the old HONDA static images and models that used to be on this page? Click here !! ** ". It works for me. crank is 260$ for 88 style, I would use no other brand. I've heard stories about all of them on here, but you can't go wrong with factory honda. hope this helps. Roost on!!

Hot rod cranks are quite wobbly right out of the box. I'd recommend you get any crank trued and welded before you put it in your motor.
