best tire for a 250ex would be Maxxis razors.

kenda klaws are better because u can switch them around for differnet terrain and they last longer

There is no "best" tire out there.

Why? because we all ride different terrain. The hardpack silt and sugar sand I ride here in NJ is different from the hills of California, and as such, will require different tire tread, compounds, etc.

I personally run Razrs, and they are really impressive. I would recommend them for whoever rides mostly dry trails.

Your results may vary.

I dont know why you're taking my recommendation, werent you the one of the peole whining about my FAQ not being accurate?

Depending on how many rocks you come across I'd run either regular Razrs or the 6 ply version.

I know this thread is a little old, but after a few months on my trac Stars I figured I'd chime in. These are a fantastic trail tire.

We've been riding a lot lately in a mix of mud, dirt and deep snow. I run trac stars and my buddys run holeshots, Duro M&S and Bear Claws. For our type of riding I would say my tires come out on top overall. My one buddy has a warrior with 24" Duros on back so when we get real deep he clears better than me, but that's about it. They are tough as nails, ride nice and clean out great in the mud and snow.

Here's (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eO-S4WIpcXw) a quick sample video of the type of riding we've been doing.

Some more of the terrain we ride.

your quad looks brand new!!! how do you keep it looking that nice? and what pipe do you have?

The pipe is a Curtis Sparks with the quiet insert. It sounds killer without the insert but a lot of the places we ride are a little sensitive to volume. The key to keeping her looking new is Maxima SC1 silicone spray. It keeps the plastic from drying out and also makes it easier to clean up. It's also good at hiding the scratches.

I think I got it here (http://www.onoffroad.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=MAXIMA-SC1-SILICONE-DETAILER&Category_Code=MAXIMA-AEROSOL-PRODUCTS) , at any rate that's the stuff. Worksd on the plastics, tireas and painted surfaces (frame etc.)
