Im debating weather or not to get a cdi box ive heard good things and bad thins are they really worth it or just go with other motor mods?

It will help some even with minor performance mods. The 300ex rev limit is really low from the factory and it is easily capable of more revs. It will help even more when/if you mod the engine further. I would at least make sure you have a pipe/filter/proper jetting first to take full advantage of the extra RPM's though. I have the basic mods on mine and I hit the stock rev limit very quickly and it is still making power.

if you have a built motor yes. if your doing just basic exhaust air filter and such then no

Yes my engines pretty built up 80 over and hot cam low hours on rebuild and the basics K&N filter and FMF full exhaust so i def gonna get the box then thnks guys
