Direct bolt on. Just need arms and tierods. I installed the shock relocator for 450r shocks but they will not work stock without beeing rebuilt. 450r shocks are to long and stiff. It would be like riding a brick. with just the arms your quad will be square because rear axel is already wider than the front end stock.

Looks just like a 450r! Really clean factory look. Any more pics? Im seriously looking into this exact swap by Christmas and I priced the whole front end to add up to around only 300 dollars off ebay with brand new a arms and bearings and stuff.

I will try and get some pics this weekend. Its is about as close to replacing stock arms as you can get. I had to trim the 400ex brakeline mounts off just a little so the tie rods would not hit when fully extended. I just need to get some better shock info. As I found out with the front shocks just because they will bolt up does't mean they will be better than what you have.

you will never be able to race mx like that! just get 400ex shocks they bolt right up no mods needed since you have the adaptor anyway! the 450r shocks are like 3/4" to long ,but will fit. theres tons of 300 with 450r shox out there.

Whoever thinks stock 450r shocks will work is crazy and never rode a quad that has a good ride. If you are looking to drag race and do not want front suspension travel then bolt up some 450r shocks on your 300ex. I might be respringing a set to give them a try and I'll let you know how that goes. I will have some updates on this quad in a few weeks.

Yes they are the stock shocks. I found out my 07 450r shocks didn't work when everything was installed. I was up late the night before we went to breezewood swapping the shocks back to the stockers. My wife only weighs 110 lbs so it was ok for her. I have a set of 400ex shocks on there right now, but I don't like the ride of that either. It is hard for a 190lb guy to tell what the ride is like for a 110lb female.

I had 04' 450R shocks on my 300EX, they worked great except for when i was going slow then they stunk... but they soaked everything up at high speeds. Though i admit for the smaller things i like the 400ex shocks way more on my 300. My 450R shocks would still be on my 300 if i hadn't sold the ATV... And yes i do know how to ride. If you think they are too stiff you must not have worked with the settings. I had them on as soft as they could go with the highest possible point with the Diamond J customs shock relocator.

If I still had my 04 stockers from the 450r I might have tried them because I raced the a year and they were alot softer. But the ones I tired were take offs from my 07 that had not been riden. I race mx and know about adjusting shocks. Mine looked like a woods bike with to much ride hieght. I would be willing to say 9-9.5 inches up front. I was looking for closer to 7". I do not want to battle about this subject, I am just trying to give some good info so others will not waste there time as I did mine. Like said I am building an MX 300ex. For a trail quad or general riding someone might love this setup.

450R shocks are awesome. They are very adjustable. I converted my 300EX to 400ex front arms with the same shock relocater piece you have on your quad. I also added a 2001 Raptor rear shock. There are 3 adjustments you can make on those shocks. I weigh 165 and my 300ex floats over the bumps since I adjusted them. Adjust the spring pressure, then the rebound, then the stiffness. There are screws on the shocks that point to softer or harder. Hope that helps. Your quad looks great though.

Ya and 250r, you should buy my arms, tie rods, shocks, and relocate bracket.
