how do these things work??? i know you can program tire size but do they only work with stock gearing? :macho

also, which one would i buy if im now running a cr500 motor in my frame??

motor size and gearing don't matter. they go off of how many revolutions the front tire makes.

ohh ok that makes sence. i thought it was calculated.

so i should get the 400ex one? i dont care about temp and all the other ****. as long as it mounts on the bars and displays speed.

if you are on a 400ex hybrid, then get that. all you need is the endurance, not the vapor. measure the tire height a few time to be sure you have the right measurment, if speed and distance need to be very accurate.
