A boy I know wants to trade me his 2003 kfx 400 for my 2000 400ex. His rear end is screwed up right now because he had to order new bolts for the chain adjuster but if i trade him i am going to make him fix it before i trade. His has a white bros pipe and itp wheels and mine is completely stock.Do you think i should trade him?Are the kfx's reliable in mud and racing?

You will be getting a much better bike than your 2000. He may be hiding something else wrong or he id that stupid. If you can ride the bike and it feels good, take advantage of his stupidity and get yourself a newer faster quad with the exhaust you will be ahead for sure

yea keep the ex. i traded my z 400 for one. best trade i ever done. my z was all but problems. even down to the bolts those things snapped way to easy compared to the ex.

it sounds like its less of a reliability and more of an ownership problem.. its not good be be caught with stolen quads..

No it aint stolen he is real little and he said he could handle a 400ex better.I know the boy and i know who the original owner was he lived right beside of me and i used to ride in his field all the time. Now this boy just sold his blaster and bought the kfx and i think he is scared of it so he wants a 400ex.I really don't want to be ripped so i might just keep my 400ex b/c i love it but i would like to have something faster.

if you what you just said is true do the trade...sounds like the both of you would be better off, the ex would be easier for him to learn and grow on, and you would be making an upgrade as well.
