Screw Driver and a hammer, but be careful no to damage anything, try and get the blade of the screwdriver under the clip and pop it out.

I've always used two tiny screwdrivers to work it out. Be careful doing it this way though, cause it tends to go flying when it comes out. Be sure to put a rag down in the bottom end, so it doesn't fall in there.

A dental pick with a curved end should work well.

Go to your local auto parts store and get a pick set. It's worth it.

i just use a pair of tiny needle nose pliers, pop em out or put them right back in no prob...until now i didnt realize ppl had difficulties with it? i'd just buy a set of those, i use them for everything.
