Cam Chain?

Right before my gf's 400 is about to stall it makes some noises which to me sound like the cam chain is loose. My bike doesn't do it so that's how I came to the conclusion its the cam chain. How do I tighten it?

i think your talking about the timing chain arent ya? if so, its got a atomatic chain tightener .

The tensioner is on the back right side of the base. take out the center phllips screw and stick a small flathead screwdriver into the hole and turn the tensioner out a little ( clockwise is tighter)

Does it sound like "tapping"??
