My son has a 2002 trx 90. When he goes to hit the gas hard it just falls on its face. If you keep holding down the throttle the engine will die but if you let off it will keep running. It doesnt matter if the engine is hot or cold. Even after a few hour of riding it will still do it. It will run at full throttle as long as you ease into the gas. It is all stock including the pipe. I have cleaned the carb and made sure all the jets are open but it made no difference. Any thoughts?

i have an 07 and it does the same thing. i asked this question in another post. i tried raising the idle speed a little but that didnt help and i cant seem to find a bigger pilot or slow jet for it. i guess we just have to live with it for now.

Those are the pilots you need...Stock is 40 so go with 42 or 45

We had a similar prob with our Grizzley 125. rebuilt the carb 3 times and tried most everything. Finally found the prob , a broken fuel line. It was a razor like slice between the petcock and the carb , was a bear to find , but replaced it with a little bigger outside diameter hose (same inside) and its been flawless ever since. That was 3 weeks of troubleshooting , to find a 10c prob.

ALL hondas are cold blooded! I just bought an 07 Foreman today and man this thing needs rejetted! Rejetting usually fixes these issues on Hondas.

If the carb is clean and the float is set correctly, try adjusting the needle clip.Moving it down will raise the needle allowing more fuel and better throttle response.

i dont claim to know more than Hetrick Racing but my 07 doesnt have an adjustable needle. i did put a small washer/shim to raise it and it really helped with cold starting, but it still wants to die from an idle pushing the throttle all the way in. i do have a hetrick pipe on it,sounds really good.

I am sorry I havent ran a stock carb in a while,it helps is to move the main up 1 size. Try that, I am sorry about the faulty post, no info is better that bad.
