I was thinking about shortening the silencer on our drr (Koso) pipe so it didn't stick out past the grab bar.My question is this:
What affect will this have on the performance of the pipe?Obviously it will be louder but will it hurt the performance of it?I was thinking of taking about 2" off of it.

I think it would be Ok . Alot of people are cutting the curved end piece right off to start.

Shouldn't be a problem....We cut the Metrakit silencers a lot more than that without any negative results (except sound level)

2" off silencer will not make any noticeable difference, but while you got the silencer apart go ahead and repack it .

When we cut 2 " off our drx50, we got more low end out of it.

You will gain aliitle low end power by shortening it Jason. I have done it before.
