I am currently riding my dad's old kfx400, but I am only 5'4", and it's a little much to throw around in the air. I am thinking of buying a blaster, and I want something like the pic below, but I want it to be able to keep up with or beat a kfx400. Is that possible? What parts would it take? How much $$$ would it take? And, I want to run on premium pump gas. I don't need the beadlocks, or wicked suspension, just something that handles good and is wicked fast! I do want a +2 or +3 swingarm, and maybe +2 width all around. I was thinking about a Vito's full 240 cylinder kit, stroker crank, Toomey B1 Kit, and V-Force 3 reed valve. I know I'll need a bigger carb, but I don't know all the little stuff I'll need. Plus, I know it'll take a lot of money, but try to reccomend cheap parts. Thanks!!!

How much would it take to build this quad?

Im gonna say

$6000 conservative

$8500 doing it right

Too much money for a Blaster!

Buy a pipe, get it ported and a carb. I wouldnt mess with the bore! Your talkin at least 10hp gain with that.

CT sells a $1000 kit thats 45hp proven... Stock 450's are mid 30's!

ok, so with a ct racing kit, pipe, and bigger carb, I could prolly hang with 450's???

the ct kit comes with the pipe and carb.

and yeah, youll be as fast if not faster but only in a straight line. you can have all the motor you want but it wont get you far in a stock blaster chassis.

yeah, I can't believe that though, but the only drawback to the ct racing kit is that you have to run on race gas don't you?

you an spend all the money you want but you are still gonna be dissapointed. look at my sig. my brother has an all stock 07 450r and in a straight line he always beats me by about 2-3 lengths. yes i can ride and he is even heavier than me. go out and get a 450r or a yfz if you want something light.

well, im just sayin here.. i can win C class in newengloand on my blaster. i have a faster lap time than the leader.. who smokes the rest of the feild, and is going to A class next year. i could probibly get to 7 or 8 in B class, and in the pro class, nate morello, who runs nationals, ran only 9 secodns a lap faster than me.. with him on his crazy 450r and me on my blaster. blasters have the potentiol.(sp?)

#1 I am glad you understand that a KFX is a little big for you.

IMO if your going to be racing, and riding hard a blaster is not going ot cut it.

If you want to go that fast then your going ot have to buy a 450 or KFX400.

IMO buy a 300ex, learn to ride it fast, then once you get older get a 450;)

I can ride it no problem, but in the air and going through tight corners, it's a little big a heavy for me to throw around.
