Speedo's???

I have a Trail Tech Endurance computer, and about every 5 months, I have to replace the cable, and it gets frustrating, because the cables are about $15-20! Now, it won't work at all! Is there anything else I can do? Also, do you guys know of any other speedo's?

i have had an endurance on my 400ex for about 2.5 years now...i have never had to replace the cable

To tell you the truth buddy, I had one on the Z400 I had, and I, too, was having preoblems with it. It worked fine for a little bit when I first got it, but then it wouldn't do anything. They sent me another cable for free, but this time when my quad was sitting still, it would say I'm going outrageous speeds like 199.9 mph. So they sent me another one, and this was free also. Again, it still didin't work right. So they sent me another cable free (3 free cables total), but this still didn't work. I just said the hell with it and took it off.

well, every time I replaced the cable before, it fixed it. But now, it won't so I'm thinking the magnetic rotor bolt has lost it's magnetism.

Yeah man, that is a possibility, or there could even be a lot of dirt on the end of the magnet preventing it to give readings to the computer. That's good that it worked for you everytime you put on a new cable, though. I didn't have that much luck.

I tried cleaning it, but no luck. I may take it completely off tomorrow and clean it good, and then test it's magnetic pull.
