I am new to quad riding, I have been riding 2 stroke dirt bikes all my life. I just bought a stock 05 trx450r.. I have also ridden an 07 trx450r.. I am 250 lbs...On my 2 stroke cr250 I am used to that soft ride, the bike absorbs every bump and its so plush...On the quads I am almost hanging on for dear life! Tons of arm pump and wrist pump and I feel every bump. Rear seems soft enough..my problem is the front..
It looked alot more easier to ride than I thought :) I am not even really having fun on it.. My question is, anyway to set this up sorta like a 2 stroke dirtbike suspension where I can glide over everything? Or is it that I am expecting a dirt bike ride and not being realistic since its a quad and not a dirtbike?
I just cannot for the life of me understand how anybody can jump anything or fly through the trails with it so stiff..I really used to think that quads were so much easier to ride than a dirtbike but boy was I WRONG, exactly the opposite..
Also would a trx250r be better for my needs?
