I took my carb off to install a 40 pilot jet. When I put the carb back on the bike it wont start now. I took the 40 pilot out and put the 38 back in and it still wont start. Its almost like the float isnt getting any fuel. I am SURE that the fuel valve is on and that gas is flowing.

I got the bike to start now but it only runs on the fuel that I pumped into it by pumping the throttle 3 times. It just starts fast, runs for 2-3 seconds and stalls and wont start again unless I pump the throtle 3 times again.

Make sure the fuel is ON, otherwise thats usually how i have to start my 400ex's is to pump the throttle a few times and then start it and if it dies then do the same thing. Sometimes once it starts I hold the throttle down a little way and rev it up to get it warmed up

I have the fuel on. I am sure of that. I also am NOT using the choke. I just dont understand why its doing this. I have had the carb off tons of times before this and it always started fine. Does the air/fuel screw have something to do with this since I put a bigger pilot in maybe?

Could be... Sorry but I have not done any jetting on a 400ex myself so I am not sure about that. Sorry dude. Maybe someone else has a solution for you

How do I smell if its flooding, if I smell gas? I havent really smelt gas that much. I am going to charge the battery and put the stock pilot in tomorrow and see if it runs like it used to. If it dont start then, I guess I am going to have to take it to a shop cause I am stumped!
